I’m Kelsy and I’m a storyteller.

I’m also a mother who writes, shoots, and shares from her heart.

I believe in showing up in all of our messy, wonderful goodness. I love joy & chaos. I love giant belly laughs and I love finding small moments of magical connection.

I photograph because I want to remember everything. I want to remember the fleeting moments. I want to remember how my daughter gently held my chin while she spoke to me and how my kids gleefully skipped down a forest path without a care in the world. I want to remember our camping trips and bed-sheet forts; popsicle-stained chins and rosy sun-kissed cheeks. I believe the little things become the big things, especially as time passes.

My goal is to create images that transport you back to a moment in time. Looking back, 20 years from now, I hope they allow you to feel something. Maybe they’ll make you softly tear up, maybe you’ll laugh out loud. Both responses would be perfect.

I'm always ready for an adventure of any kind

When I’m not pouring my heart into photography, you can find me outside likely camping, skiing, or in our garden. I live to explore with my family, and I’m constantly planning “the next trip." I’m a true type 7 enneagram, so I’m always ready for an adventure.

I also love (all the) ice cream, making lists, avoiding laundry, and movie theatre popcorn with extra butter. I love planning trips, because the research is half the fun. I love family nights, date nights, girls’ nights, and just being with my people. I hope you’re my people.

I’ll likely leave our time together with grass-stained knees or maybe even soaking wet, because I’m up for anything. I’m just passionate about capturing your life at this moment.

My work has been featured on the cover of books, in magazines, on television, and blogs worldwide.

I have been lucky enough to travel to 6 different countries and all across Canada to photograph wonderful families and beautiful weddings. I have also been lucky enough to work with some of Alberta's biggest corporations and incredible Canadian brands through my commercial work.

Documenting my own days, always with my camera in hand.

The further I looked back through pictures of my own kids, the more precious my memories become. I already miss those days of gaped tooth smiles and messy braids. Seeing pictures of my girls in their element brings me so much joy.

I’m a mom too, I’ll capture the little things I know you don’t want to forget.
