Hironaka Family- Edmonton Lifestyle Photographer

April 10, 2018

I first photographed the beautiful Hironaka family several years ago and was so pleased to be invited back to their home to photograph the next stage of their life- a house full of teenagers!  Their kids are getting older and it seems like time is moving faster-  it was the perfect reason for another family photography session. Photographing older kids is so much fun- they’re attention spans are longer, they’re hilarious and they have a millions skills to show off.  We were able to utilize the area around their acreage for photographs- it was the perfect way to have the family session feel even more personal.  I loved being able to goof around with the kids, take a ride in a wheel barrow, eat some fresh plums off their trees and play a little fetch with their pups. But my favourite part of the session was seeing their home covered in images from our last session.  They had ordered a giant canvas after their last portrait session and it hung so perfectly in their living room. Their family album and framed prints around the home all looked just so good. It was such an important reminder to print your images- have them displayed where you can enjoy them every day, they’re not meant to stay on a USB.  I keep thinking how time moves so fast when you have little kids. One blink and they’ve grown up.

If you’re interested in holding on to those moments a little longer, send me a message…I’ve also heard it’s Mother’s Day coming up- what better way to celebrate than with new art for your walls?

xoxo,

Kelsy
