Newborn Photography in Edmonton

July 12, 2020

Newborn Photography has always been one of my very favourite parts of my job. With Covid-19 it’s been hard to photograph new babies, but with some help from AHS and the Alberta Government, I have procedures and policies in place to protect you and your new baby. If you’ve been wanting to have newborn portraits done, but you’ve been scared about the “how”, send me a message we can discuss all the details behind a session safely in your own home. There’s always the option of photographing your new family outside or at my urban loft studio as well.

Some of my new protocols for newborn sessions-

  • A easy and hassle free policy for rebooking if there’s any cold or flu like symptoms before your session.
  • I will wear a mask and gloves, along with stringent hand washing. I will also bring lysol wipes to disinfect as I go.
  • I won’t touching surfaces in your home and will limit my movement to one room. We will discuss locations in your home ahead of time via iPhone pictures.
  • Limited or zero physical posing of your baby- you will hold your baby through our session while I maintain physical distancing, depending on your comfort level.
  • Letting you know of my personal movement leading up to your session and isolating or testing if necessary. Your safety is my number on concern.
  • I will Follow guidelines put in place by AHS- these policies could change at anytime if our cases in Alberta evolve.

Give me a call and we can talk about the potential of photography your family indoors and if it is safe to do so. The option of an outdoor newborn session at 6 feet apart is always an option as well.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Kelsy
