Wong Family Portraits on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River

Hello again! How lucky are we to live along the North Saskatchewan River? The valley is so beautiful and every time I walk through the trails I wonder why I don’t go more often. It literally runs through our whole city and I don’t utilize it nearly enough! Edmonton has really left our river valley so natural and it is a gift to be able to feel like you’re outside the city when you’re steps away from downtown.

The Wong family opted for family pictures along side our river. The boys love sticks and rocks and all things a little messy, so a little riverside session was perfect to get them engaged. They loved throwing rocks into the water and hearing the biggest splashes. If I can keep little kiddos excited and engaged during our time together, I consider it a win! No stuffy smiles or frustrated parents here. We’re just going to have fun without the “cheese”. I still will get your “Christmas card portraits” and I’ll make sure you have beautiful portraits, but I’ll also make sure I get your youngest’s goofy smirk and your oldest’s toothless smile. My goal is create portraits that feel real, so when you look back at them you remember those fleeting moments.

If your family is ready to invest in family portraits in 2024, please send me a message and we’ll connect. I’d love to chat about your families likes and dislikes, what makes the kids laugh and what makes them smile. And I hope its ice cream is involved. I always hope there’s ice cream.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
