I absolutely love in-home family portrait sessions. They provide such a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to photograph your family in – and it’s perfect for when you have a new baby or small children! No trips to the studio or packing bags, easy to take breaks and grab snacks for toddlers. My clients always tell me how what a relaxed day it is, and giving moms no extra stress after having a baby is exactly what I want to accomplish!

Another benefit of in-home family portrait sessions is that there is no planning around the weather! Winters in Edmonton can be especially cold and unpredictable. (Did someone say polar vortex)? Having a location that doesn’t need a back up plan completely takes this stress away. In fact, you don’t even need to worry about driving to the shoot location!
Not to mention, your home is uniquely you! When I photograph my clients in their spaces I always find that the results are unique, intimate, and incredibly real. Details like family heirlooms and precious items like baby’s favourite stuffed animal all get captured in an incredibly personal way. Plus, even your pets can join in on the fun.
