How adorable is this little family? I have a soft spot for families with two little girls close together in age. I adore seeing their sisterly relationship from behind the lens. How cute are these matching dresses too? Â The lilac purple with the vibrant summery green really pops in their images.
Family portrait season is upon us! Springtime gives us blossoms, vibrant greens and bright tones. After a winter of browns and greys, these colour are a welcome addition! I actually do love the muted tones of winter too…but every season gives us new and exciting variety in images. When booking a photographer it’s important to think of what resonates with you. Is it the white and crisp look of snow in winter? Browns and greys of early spring? Bright greens and vibrant tones for summer? The golden browns, oranges and yellows of autumn? Think about what you’d want on your walls? What feels the most like “you”?
After you’ve considered the background and tones of your session think about what style of clothing you’d like to wear in your images. After all, if you love big cozy dark toned sweaters, a bright and cheery summer session probably won’t work best for you. If you love sundresses and bubbles like this family, a springtime or summer session is likely perfect! MacTaggart Ravine is the perfect place for a family session anytime of year- but the greens and trees of summer really are beautiful there!
